Cookies with a clear purpose.

The exact first-party cookies AcidSpain Creators uses, how Remember me works, what stays optional, and how to change your choice.

01

What this policy covers

This Cookie Policy explains how AcidSpain LLC uses cookies and similar browser storage on AcidSpain Creators. It should be read with our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

A cookie is a small text record stored by a browser. Some cookies are necessary for a requested service, while optional cookies may support analytics, personalization, or advertising. AcidSpain currently uses only the necessary first-party cookies listed below on its own domain.

02

Our first-party cookies

acid_customer_session: a necessary, signed, HttpOnly client-workspace session cookie. It authenticates the current customer or teammate and supports account security and revocation. Its maximum lifetime is 48 hours, or up to 30 days when Remember me is selected.

acid_operator_session: a necessary, signed, HttpOnly operator session cookie. It authenticates authorized AcidSpain operators and supports account security and revocation. Its maximum lifetime is 48 hours, or up to 30 days when Remember me is selected.

acid_cookie_preferences: a necessary first-party preference cookie that records the current policy version, optional-category choices, whether Global Privacy Control was detected, and the time of the choice. It lasts up to 180 days unless replaced or cleared sooner.

03

Necessary cookies

Necessary cookies provide sign-in, workspace and operator authentication, security controls, and storage of the privacy choice. They are not used for advertising and cannot be switched off through our panel because the requested account service and preference control would not work safely without them.

Authentication cookies are HttpOnly so browser scripts cannot read them. In production they are sent with Secure, SameSite, path, expiry, signature, and server-side session validation controls appropriate to their purpose. Account status, role changes, password changes, logout, or security action may invalidate a session before its browser lifetime ends.

04

Optional categories

Analytics cookies would help measure how the service is used. Marketing cookies would support advertising, campaign attribution, or cross-site personalization. AcidSpain Creators does not currently load either category and does not currently load advertising pixels or cross-site tracking cookies.

Optional categories are off until a user makes a choice. If AcidSpain later adds a tool in an optional category, it must respect the stored choice and we will renew consent when the purpose or provider changes materially or when applicable law requires it.

05

Remember me

Remember me is optional and unchecked by default on client and operator sign-in. If it is unchecked, the signed session and browser cookie expire after 48 hours.

If Remember me is checked, the signed session and cookie can remain for up to 30 days. Use this only on a private device. Logging out clears the browser cookie, and sensitive profile, password, role, billing, or security changes may revoke the session earlier.

06

Third-party pages

AcidSpain may direct a customer to Stripe-hosted checkout, billing, or customer-portal pages. Stripe may set cookies on its own domains for payment, fraud prevention, security, or its other stated purposes. Those cookies are controlled by Stripe and covered by Stripe's notices, not by the AcidSpain preference cookie.

Links to YouTube, creator profiles, or other external sites may also open third-party pages that use their own cookies. Visiting those pages is subject to the third party's privacy and cookie practices.

07

Your choices and GPC

The first notice provides Reject optional and Accept optional actions at the same level, plus Customize controls. You can reopen the panel at any time with Cookie settings in the footer. Rejecting optional cookies does not prevent sign-in or use of the core service.

You can also clear cookies using browser controls. Clearing acid_cookie_preferences causes the notice to appear again; clearing an authentication cookie signs that browser out. Browser settings that block all cookies may prevent account features from working.

When the browser exposes a Global Privacy Control signal, our preference panel records that signal and keeps marketing cookies off. AcidSpain does not currently sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or use targeted-advertising cookies.

08

Updates and contact

We may update this policy when cookie purposes, providers, lifetimes, or law changes. A new policy version may cause the preference panel to ask for a fresh choice. Material changes to optional purposes will not rely silently on an outdated choice where renewed consent is required.
